It's a cultural thing

I had this conversation yesterday.

Switzerlady : "Hello! Oh you've got a little girl about Emma's age! Sweet! What a pretty, flowery hat! And such a lovely necklace. Those blonde curls are just gorgeous. What's her name?"

Lady at the paddling pool: "Samuel."

I am making lots of friends here.

I had no reply to that!

I was mistaken for a boy all the way through my childhood and was well into my teens the last time it happened. I aint the most voluptuous of ladies.

Why can't boys wear pink or flowers. Have nail paint on their toes nails like mother has and wear neckless and rings like the little sister or play with dolls and prams.

Does it matter, boys will certainely not turn gay, because they can do and wear the same things as girls. And if they do...So what!

Girls can wear blue, play with cars, climb up trees, they can do all the things boys are doing in their age and nobody says anything or is worried they might turn out gay.

it is not fair is it?
